JobRouter alternative: The 4 best tools

JobRouter’s low-code platform links web applications with local services and then allows a variety of workflows. Nevertheless, the solution may not meet all of your company’s operational needs. Therefore, in this article we present the 4 best JobRouter alternatives.

The 4 best alternatives to JobRouter – overview:

  1. Zapier
  2. n8n
  3. IFTTT
  4. PIPEFORCE

JobRouter Alternative 1: Zapier

Zapier works in a relatively similar way to JobRouter: over 2,500 apps can be connected and then processed into linear and multi-step workflows. Depending on the booked package, conditional logics are also possible. Only 5 process steps are included free of charge, complex automations with if-then functions (Zapier Paths) are only available with the paid solution. Here it depends on the package chosen: the higher the price, the more Path executions are included per month. Paths executed beyond this are then calculated individually. Naturally, this encourages optimization: The more efficient the workflows, the cheaper the Zapier subscription. Using Python or .js, Zapier Paths can be combined and automated with thousands more applications.

Alternative 2: n8n

The next JobRouter alternative: n8n, which can be divided into two products: n8n.cloud is a software-as-a-service tool. n8n serves a workflow automation tool that must be self-hosted. Regardless of which variant is used: n8n currently only supports 150 apps – a clear disadvantage compared to Zapier if the required apps are not included in the 150. After all, n8n is gradually expanding its offering, and those who only want to connect common services such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace or WordPress may not need more than 150. Advantage over ZApier: n8n displays the created workflows as a clear flowchart, via which the individual components can be changed and exchanged. About the pricing model: n8n is available free of charge for 30 days, after which three packages are available. Another plus point: As a German company, n8n must comply with the requirements of the DSGVO.

Alternative 3: IFTTT

One solution that is primarily aimed at private users is IFTTT. The service is basically free of charge, but commercial customers can still opt for a paid version with more options. However, IFTTT’s consumer focus is also evident in the services it supports, such as popular voice assistants, various social media platforms, and financial and smart home solutions. However, the most important business tools and cloud platforms are also included – in total, IFTTT supports 600 services. Another advantage is the intuitive user interface, which is also geared towards consumers and makes it very easy to set up workflows. For companies, however, IFTTT remains the second choice or its use only makes sense to a very limited extent and in exceptional cases.

Alternative 4: PIPEFORCE

PIPEFORCE is a low-code platform for business process automation. In contrast to the previously mentioned solutions, the platform enables design, testing and full implementation of individual enterprise processes. Process Engine, BPMN Designer, Form Builder, central user administration and standard integrations are available for this purpose. Design, creation and implementation of digital and automated workflows can thus be implemented on a single platform, which significantly improves collaboration between IT and business and significantly reduces costs. Data storage and support is provided entirely in Germany, making the platform particularly attractive for German companies.
